Position Overview

Sweet Berry Farm is looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Retail & Floral Assistant to join our team! This part-time position supports the day-to-day operations of our retail shop, farm market, floral department, and greenhouse, helping keep our spaces organized, well-stocked, and welcoming for customers.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for presentation and detail, and takes pride in creating beautiful, inviting spaces. From merchandising retail displays and caring for plants to preparing flowers for sale and assisting customers, this is a varied role with opportunities to work across different areas of the farm.

As a working farm with a market, café, greenhouse, and seasonal offerings, no two days are quite the same! The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, and happy to jump in wherever help is needed.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Merchandise

  • Receive, organize, price, and restock merchandise throughout the retail shop and farm market.

  • Enter new products into the inventory system and create pricing labels and barcodes.

  • Maintain organized backstock and monitor inventory levels, communicating when products need replenishment.

  • Keep retail displays, shelving, and merchandise areas clean, attractive, and well-stocked.

  • Organize and maintain Sweet Berry Farm apparel, including folding, restocking, and monitoring sizes.

  • Assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and general farm information.

Floral & Greenhouse

  • Maintain and restock floral displays, wrap bouquets, and prepare flowers for sale.

  • Assist with receiving, processing, pricing, and merchandising fresh flowers.

  • Clean and organize floral containers, displays, and work areas.

  • Water and care for plants in the retail greenhouse and outdoor sales areas.

  • Monitor plant and floral inventory, health, and appearance, communicating needs to management.

Seasonal Farm & Market Support

  • Assist with seasonal displays, including pumpkins, plants, produce, and other farm offerings.

  • Help maintain garden beds, planters, and customer-facing outdoor spaces.

  • Support seasonal merchandising transitions throughout the year.

  • Assist with general market and café restocking, organization, and upkeep as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support daily farm operations.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, ideally working:

Monday, Friday & Saturday
9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Additional hours may be available during busy seasonal periods, including spring planting, summer, fall harvest, and special farm events.
